Mac was a long-time member of First Union Congregational Church and held numerous positions on the board of Transitions of Western Illinois from 1962-1995, including two terms as president. In 1995, he received the Illinois Community Behavioral Health Association's Lifetime Achievement Award for his commitment to the mental health field. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Ann) Wright of Quincy and Mrs. Ronald (Allyn) Vodicka of Seattle, Washington; five grandchildren, Laura Wright (wife of Chase Rehrig) of Quincy, Andrew Wright of Columbia, Missouri, Graham Wright of Quincy and Margaret "Maggie" and Cameron "Cam" Vodicka of Seattle, Washington. Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the First Union Congregational Church and will be led by his nephew, Gregg Bennett, Senior Pastor of God's Family Church in Fresno, California.
