She was a member of the Southwest Church of Christ for over 50 years, where she enjoyed teaching bible classes, participating in Ladies Retreats, church nursery and volunteering at Camp Hensel. She felt blessed to have been married to her late husband, Vince, for 50 years, and her devotion to her family and those she loved will endure forever. "Nana" as she was fondly known, treasured her time around family, and was an active member in their lives. She was a fixture at baseball games, football games, cheerleading events, volleyball games, recitals, choir and soccer games of her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She cherished her time spent at the Neill ranch in Blanco, TX where she would reminisce on childhood memories, hunt the elusive whitetail deer, and spend time outdoors with her family. Lois enjoyed her vacations up to the mountains in Colorado and New Mexico where she could admire God's work with picturesque views and stunning landscapes. Lois was known for her loving nature, as well as her kind and compassionate spirit. Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Vincent John Ewald. She is survived by her siblings, Lenona Neill Felps (late husband Jack) of Blanco, Margaret Neill Weidner (Bill) of New Braunfels, Terry Neill (Sandy) of Blanco, and Cynthia Neill Graham (Bret) of Canyon Lake, Texas. She was a gun-slingin', strong willed, witty, and smart woman. She was unapologetically stubborn but had a big heart who always put others first. She was a part time rancher with a bullseye shot. Most importantly she was a woman of faith who loved her family dearly. She has worked her whole life as a follower of God, and now she can rest peacefully with the Lord and her forever love, Vince.
