Eddie (Ed) Dean Smith

On Thursday December 2, 2021, Eddie Dean Smith passed away peacefully in his home. Ed is remembered by his loving wife, Madelyn, his sons Todd, and Troy (DeeDee), 5 grandchildren Samantha, Matt (Kayla), Justin, Baillie (Layton) and Kade (Paige), and 11 great grandchildren. Eddie was born on June 2nd, 1940, in Phoenix, Arizona to Preston and Audry Smith. Ed lived in Arizona his entire life. Ed and Madelyn were happily married for over 50 years. Ed worked construction, was superintendent for several large companies and then Ed and Madelyn started their own business. Ed alluded to retirement but could never quite give up work. Ed was an avid hunter and fisherman who greatly enjoyed the outdoors with his friends and family. His life was an adventure which included numerous trips and tournaments. The hunting and fishing trips were legendary and will be remembered for years to come for all who were there and those who were lucky enough to have heard the stories.
