a very caring, loving, gentle, and kind person. He was always willing to lend a hand to those in need and never knew a stranger. Marvin was a devoted family man and husband. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Marvin is survived by his wife Wanda; five children, Jon (Michaele) Day of Altamont, KS, Amy Day of Mount Pleasant, Angi (Daniel) Butcher of Mount Pleasant, Dr. Kristopher (Lacey) Day of Issaquah, WA, Krystal (Matt) Platt of Mount Pleasant; 22 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marilyn Collins and a nephew Rick Collins. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, January 2, 2022, at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, where the family will greet friends from noon until 2:00 pm. The service will be livestreamed at Powell Funeral Homes Facebook page and at our website www.powellfuneralhomes.com. A memorial fund has been established for Henry County Health Center Foundation.
