We celebrate the life of Angelica Monsivais Bocanegra, after one year of her passing. Even though our hearts are still grieving her loss, we want you to remember the great life she lived, as we celebrate her life and her contributions. The first that she felt most blessed with was her role as a "Mother." Family was her most important value and when it came to her son Miguel, she proudly spoke of him. All her actions appeared carefully contemplated, so she would be the best role model of a mother to him. Her son Miguel was proud to be her son, and he "said", "She is the best Mother ever." Angelica had a vibrant, energetic presence. She believed in work before pleasure and didn't allow "life obstacles" to interfere with her goals. She was, hard-working, sincere, generous, smart, and extremely funny. She loved spending time with her family and gathered them together just to laugh and have fun. She also loved spending time with friends as well. She loved going to the casinos to play bingo and slots, talking on the phone, cooking, and shopping at Costco's. heir school studies, graduated as one of the top excelled students from Bernal High School, became a U.S. Citizen, and after 25 years of loyal employment she retired from Burke Industries. Angelica Monsivais Bocanegra, was born on May 29, 1955, in Piedras Negras, Mexico. She relocated to San Jose, California as a young girl with her family. She resided in San Jose, California until she retired. Angelica passed away peacefully on September 25, 2024, in Los Banos, California. She is preceded in death by her parents Damacio Bocanegra and Maria Elodia Monsivais Bocanegra, Jose Monsivais Bocanegra, Martin Damacio Bocanegra, Javier M. Bocanegra, nieces Maria Vanessa Bocanegra, Destiney Ann Marie Bocanegra, nephews, Jose Jr. Bocanegra, and Alfredo Anaya. She is survived by her son Miguel Angel Fernandez, brother Ernesto Monsivais Bocanegra, and sisters, Veronica Bocanegra, Florinda Honesto, Beatriz Bocanegra and Sonia Parra, brother -in-law Mark Honesto, sister-in-law's, Barbara Bocanegra, Colleen M. Russo, and Lisa Vega-Alva. She also leaves behind her Aunt Angelica, cousins, nieces, nephews, and her beloved partner Guillermo Salazar. We ask that you continue to remember the kindness and compassion that Angelica showed to all that were around her. We also ask that you continue to honor her legacy by doing and showing the same to others as your life moves forward.
