Patricia "Patty" Joyce

Patricia A. "Patty" (Palmer) Joyce, 80, passed away during the early morning hours of November 22, 2025. She was born in Washington on July 16, 1945, the daughter of Thomas J. and Ernestine (Doyle) Palmer. On July 7, 1962, she married William "Bill" Joyce and they created a loving home for themselves and their children. Patty was a graduate of Washington Catholic High School. She was employed for many years as a bank teller for the Washington National Bank, which later became the Old National Bank. Patty had a generous spirit and enjoyed volunteer work, especially at St. Vincent dePaul. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Patty was a devoted member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Those who now cherish their memories of Patty include: her husband, Bill Joyce; sons, Bill A. (Teresa) Joyce of Washington and Jeffrey W. (Kristin) Joyce of Chicago, Illinois; daughter, Twila (David) Gonzales of Miami, Florida; sister, Mary Sue Shulin of Cumming, Georgia; sister-in-law, Judy Palmer; brother, Thomas J.
