After several years with the band, Gary was invited to serve as the organization's Events Coordinator, a role in which he helped support and organize many memorable performances and community events. Gary had a smile that could brighten any room and a sense of humor that made everyone around him laugh. He was known for his playful, goofy spirit and his deep love for family. He especially enjoyed the films of Mel Brooks, with Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles among his favorites. Hawaii was his happy place, where he loved to relax and enjoy the beauty of the islands. Gary was also an amazing cook who loved sharing meals with the people he cared about --often with a classic 7 and 7 cocktail in hand. Above all, Gary will be remembered as an amazing husband, son, brother, and uncle whose warmth, humor, and kindness touched many lives. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Services will be private.
