Kathy Lucille Long

Kathy Lucille Long (76) joined her beloved husband Dave in heaven on Saturday, March 21 st, 2026. Kathy was born on February 14th,1950, to Lucille and Adolf Fant and attended Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids, IA. Kathy and Dave Long were united in marriage on March 23rd, 1968. Kathy worked in accounting and in the printing industry, and upon retirement, she worked part-time at Kum and Go in Monticello, Iowa. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Dave, on June 3rd, 2021. Kathy is survived by her daughter, Lisa(James)Wood, and son, David R. (Penny) Long. Kathy is survived by her sister Karon(Dennis)Kolek of Phoenix, Arizona, and many nieces and nephews. Kathy was the 5 th child of Adolf and Lucille Fant. Kathy was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Kathy enjoyed vacationing and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed crafting, spending time with their Iowa friends, camping with family, and meeting up with her sisters for mini vacations.
