Richard Lee Urban, a father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on May 19, 1944, in Gilroy, California. Richard was the cherished son of Harry Urban and Mary Janda.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, as an airman. After his military service, he embarked on a career with Gentry Foods in his hometown of Gilroy. His journey eventually led him to a fulfilling career as a truck driver for TVT, where he hauled onions and garlic.
Known for his infectious sense of humor and for cracking jokes, Richard brightened the lives of everyone around him. Richard had love for his Harley he enjoyed his beer and eating his favorite Mexican food.
A lover of music and an avid reader, Richard found delight in exploring world history.
Richard's legacy is carried forward by his loving children, Christopher Baca (Corey), Shawnee Urban, Richard M. Urban (Seona), Dennis C. Urban, his adored granddaughter, Cali Brown and the mother of his children Theresa Urban. Though his brother, Dennis Barry Urban, predeceased him, the memories they shared remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved them both.
